What Do You Think The Workouts Will Be?

How many times has someone asked you this question? How many times have you answered it? How many different answers have you given, or heard?

I want to remind you not to get caught up making guesses, or assumptions about what you think The Open/Event/Training WODs are going to be. Of course, if you’re doing this for shits and giggles, it’s not a huge deal. But, if you get really caught up talking about it, you are just wasting your time and energy. You don’t know what any of them are going to be and neither do I.

Remember, if you’re an athlete, you want to stay focused on your outlook and on what you can control.

If this subject comes up, or someone asks you what you think the workouts are going to be, try these answers instead

  • “I don’t know what it’s going to be, but I can’t wait”
  • “What I do know is that it’s going to be something challenging and awesome”
  • “The staff always come up with some sick WODs, I’m looking forward to it”
  • “Who knows? I just know that I’m ready for anything”

What you talk about matters. How you talk matters. What doesn’t matter…is what the first WOD of The Open is going to be. You know why? Because whatever it is, you’re going to crush it and that’s all that matters.
