To Get Results, You Gotta Do This

IMG_0629-edit

You want success. You want to hit your goals. You want more results, quicker. Right?

Well, I’m here to challenge you and provide you with some reminders.

Are you doing the little things that will help make you a MUCH better athlete?

  • If you want that muscle up so bad…are you taking the time to hang and do ring to sternum pull-ups in the false grip?
  • If you’re at a plateau with your Deadlift and it’s pissing you off…are you coming in early to develop your glutes and hamstrings?
  • If you want to be calmer in competitions…are you practicing mental strategies to help you for the next one?

These specific things don’t take long. Actually, each of the examples I gave you could be done in less than 10 minutes a few times a week. But, it will take commitment and effort. It’s all about doing the little things. Because, before you know it they add up and you’ll be where you want to be.

Questions: Are you doing the little things that it takes to get to the next level? Are you getting frustrated, but still not doing anything about it?

Do you want to readjust your goals? If not, commit to a plan and carve out time to focus on appropriate drills and techniques!

I think a lot of us forget that the little things really matter. I know I do. I find myself neglecting the things that I need to work on and I find myself doing the things I am already good at… because these things make me feel good… but in reality it isn’t help me develop my weaknesses. Thanks for the push to focus on those things. It’s hard mentally to want to work on the things we suck at but it is necessary.

Yea, it’s easy to forget – that’s why it’s helpful to have regular reminders 🙂 The more we work on what we “suck at” the less suck power it has!! !
