Do You Fear Not Measuring Up?

Dawn_8

Do you worry that you’ll never quite measure up, or that your capabilities will be inadequate?

Do you think that if you don’t perform your best, you’ll be insufficient in some way?

Have you ever given your full effort, and still felt discontent or undeserving?

Lastly, do you imagine that if you could just accomplish this one thing, this certain goal, that you would finally feel like you are satisfied and that you are enough?

What if that thinking is ALL backwards? It sure can become a slippery slope.

  • You don’t have to do anything to gain worth. You are already worthy. Live into that, and anything is possible.
  • You are already enough, with all of who you are. Nothing you can do will change that. Live into that and watch yourself soar.
  • Giving full effort and pursuing your passions is fully satisfying in itself. Desireable outcomes and results don’t make you more sufficient. You are fully capable as you are.

Bottom line: Step back, you might have some rethinking to do. You are beyond worthy and more than “good enough” as you are without accomplishing anything specific. You don’t need to DO, prove, be, achieve or show anything. You already ARE. Use that belief to empower you, instead of hoping that reaching a goal will finally make you feel that you are adequate.
