When Do You Act Flustered?

Ask others for feedback about your training style or mental game. If you regularly train with certain athletes or coaches then they are a great resource for you. Get comfortable asking for their opinions so that you can continue to grow and improve.

It may feel a little uncomfortable, but try asking your training partners or coaches questions like

  • “When was the last time you saw me mentally break down during a WOD?”
  • “Are there certain workouts where you see me act flustered or uneasy?”
  • “Are there times when you feel I could improve my composure or confidence?”
  • “What is the one part of my mental game that you think I could improve on?”

The athletes that can do this regularly are the ones who are constantly looking for ways to improve. Get comfortable asking for feedback and seeing if you can find ways to perform better mentally and physically.
