What do you value? What is important to you? If you want to improve you have to consistently remind yourself of what’s important to you. Too many people just go through the motions and forget about their values. Many of you have never sat down to write out what you stand for and what you believe in.

The individuals who understand their values are going to be better at prioritizing, focusing, staying motivated and pushing through tough situations.

  • Take some time and make at least 10 statements starting with “I believe ______” – Just see what comes out. Keep on going until you feel inspired. Keep writing until your list is pretty comprehensive.
  • Write down the philosophies or thoughts that mean the most to you. Know what your core values are and what type of community you want to surround yourself with. These are the values that you identify with and want to constantly remind yourself of.
