The minutes before you attempt a big lift are just as important as the lift itself.
This weekend, at The 2013 CrossFit Games, I caught up with Coach B and asked him what he tells his athletes to focus on in the minutes leading up to a big lift
- Coach B suggests that you visualize yourself being successful and that you focus on positive images. He suggests that you imagine yourself setting up for your lift properly
- 1. Make sure you practice a consistent routine leading up to your lift. 2. Make sure that you practice imagining a smooth setup and lift – this will help you keep negative or distracting thoughts out of your mind
