I know, I know, you love CrossFit. You just can’t believe how good it makes you feel and you can’t wait to get even better. This week, I am giving you tips on how to improve your life-balance so that you can actually perform better in WODs. There are plenty of strategies throughout the posts on this site to help you push through challenging WODs and improve your focus. All of those strategies are great, but if you are lacking balance in your life, then you will not be able to get the most out of your training.
Have you stopped playing your favorite sport since you started hitting 5 WODs a week?
Did you used to love hiking or boating until you became a wod-a-holic?
What was your favorite sport or activity before CrossFit? When is the last time you did that?
- Your current training program might be a blast and it is probably making you extremely lean, fast and strong. That doesn’t mean it is all you should do. Take time each week to play games, sports and do your favorite activity. Apply your fitness to the outside world and never let your passions or interests take a back seat. You will be a better person and athlete when you take the time to play and do other sports/activities that you love in addition to your weekly WODs.
