It’s important that you take one positive from each WOD. Some days you may finish your workout and feel like everything went wrong. You might start beating yourself up, being very negative about your performance. Letting this happen time and again can lead to low self-confidence, performance anxiety, a lack of focus, and low sport-enjoyment (which is the most important).
No matter how bad you feel like you did in a WOD or a competition, it is critical that you find a positive takeaway. It may be small, and it may seem insignificant, but it will help you keep a strong mentality. You can always get better, yet you are always growing. You must recognize the areas you can improve on, but also give yourself some credit after each WOD.
