This week I am  highlighting each of the 9 factors that make up your mentality. You need to develop these factors in order for you to get the most out of your training. If any of the factors are missing or weak, you will not be able to perform your best.

4. Focus (check out the 9 aspects in About The Site)

It is important that you are able to stay focused on your purpose and what you want. You must also be able to block out distractions and focus your energy on the things that you can control.

We will all face distractions and hurdles that will deter our ability to be fully focused. Great athletes are able to recognize that their focus is straying and know to quickly bring it back to what matters. You can improve your ability to concentrate and you can practice focusing on the factors you can control.

If you are having trouble staying consistent, you will struggle reaching your goals. If you are constantly getting caught up in how other people are training, then you will be giving less energy to your own purpose. If you get easily distracted during WODs, your performance will suffer.
