None of us function well when we feel overwhelmed with all that we still “have to do”.
When you’re feeling tired and negative, you need to start simply chipping away, little by little, and focusing on what you need to do next. What’s important is to not let any failures or negativity consume you. Just accept that they are present, and move on. Try one of these to help you when you start to get tired during a workout:
- Break whatever you’re doing down into very small chunks.
- Think about just the next set, the next mile, or the next few steps.
- At times, you may need to only concentrate on one breath, one rep, or one minute at a time.
