It’s a new year and many of you are thinking about what you want to accomplish. You have fitness goals, financial goals, and tons of life goals swirling through your head. But, if you keep thinking about what you want to accomplish, you might never get there. Why? Because you can’t just focus on a goal, you have to focus on what you can control and influence. You’ve gotta create a plan, keep things simple and have as much positive support as possible.
So, instead of focusing on your goals, and the outcomes you want to achieve…
Step 1: Focus on creating systems – What habits can you commit to? What routines will help you improve? Focus on the process and create practices that help set you up for success.
Action: Read THIS to get VERY clear on what you are going to do.
Step 2. Focus on surrounding yourself with better – Who can help you get to the next level? Are there people in your life who are holding you back?
Action: Identify people who you want to learn and grow from then be around them or seek guidance from them as much as possible.
Step 3: Focus on elimination – Often when we set goals, we immediately think of what we “need” to do more of…right? But, could you benefit from doing less, instead of doing more? Are you taking on too much and therefore not gaining any ground?
Action: Simplify and get rid of whatever is not essential. After you read the 3 posts below, make a list of what you want to get rid of or reduce in your life.
You don’t always have control over how things will turn out, but you can influence your attitude and your behaviors. Focus on these 3 steps and before you know it, you’ll smash your goals.
